Madison and surrounding communities have always felt less drastic in the ebb and flow of the economy. The greater Madison area and southern Wisconsin in general continue to attract national attention as a desirable place to live. Money Magazine declared Middleton the number one place to raise a family. The Wisconsin State Journal recently named Mount Horeb and Mazomanie as highly desirable communities. It is an exciting time in southern Wisconsin! And I think that we will continue to see a good real estate market.
After several years of teaching at a Montessori school and a need for new challenges and experiences, I made the decision that it was time for a change and time to explore an increasing interest in architecture, historic preservation, and meeting and working with new people from wonderfully varying backgrounds. And it all fell into place while working with a terrific real estate agent in searching for a unique property, which we definitely found- a cozy brick church built in 1865! I also found the challenge that I was looking for. A new career that I love- one that's fulfilling, useful, ever-changing and fun! Family, friends, and colleagues tell me that it's a perfect fit.
Hobbies include Bikram & Power Flow Yoga, Telemark skiing, knitting, gardening, running, spending time at the farm and travel (including working for six months in the Antarctic through the National Science Foundation then travelling through New Zealand)
